July 1, 2010 — To Catch a Big Brother
New York, NY (NDNS) — In a rare move among the major television networks CBS and NBC have teamed up to combine two of their largest properties into one summer reality TV show. The concept is a merger of Dateline’s To Catch a Predator series with the long running CBS Reality show Big Brother.
Here’s how it will work; producers from Dateline and their reporter, Chris Hansen, create several different MySpace pages of young girls and boys ranging in age from 12 to 17. Using that they will lure the predators to beautiful, sunny, Southern California, and the CBS Big Brother House. Once trapped inside the predators (or, House Guests) will compete in a series of games determining elimination from the Big Brother household as they’re watched 24/7 by television cameras monitoring their activities. The house guests, once eliminated, are taken directly to court where they will be charged with attempting to solicit sex from a minor. The overall winner of the show will receive half a million dollars to go towards legal fees as they will also be charged with the same crime.
Stay tuned to Nexterday News for updates on the shows progress in the coming weeks and months.
