As the Neu-Fifties come to a close, the decade rampant with Hypercolor poodle skirts, Post-WWIV housing booms and low inflation, conservatives fear the coming decade. “If it’s anything like the 1960s, count me out!” Exclaimed Roger Toorous, a 74 year old retiree living in Queens. Though Toorous never lived through the sixties, his grandparents were strong Nixon supporters at the time, and told him countless stories of drug use, free love and ‘evil music’. Liberals are embracing the coming decade, declaring it Neu-Love, and groups like Planned Parenthood are gearing up for free distribution of STD-Patches and Male Birth Control. Indeed, the excitement over the Neu-Sixties is creating a big buzz on the InterWeb, and virtual reality tours of the original Woodstock are selling like never before.
